Mit den Gotham Awards wird traditionell die Awards-Saison eröffnet. Bei der Verleihung am 2. Dezember wird Angelina Jolie für ihre Rolle der Maria Callas in Pablo Larrains von Komplizen Film koproduziertem Biopic „Maria“ (hier unsere The-spot-Besprechung) mit dem Performer Tribute geehrt.
