One Piece has a vast range of characters which include a lot of unconventional tropes. Characters are not single dimensional and all major and even some minor characters have been beautifully fleshed out. Eiichiro Oda takes great care to make his characters realistic (excuse Zoro’s sense of direction).

There are also several anti-heroes in the series, including Roronoa Zoro, who has a past of being a bounty hunter and assassin, and very little moral obligations if it comes to saving the Straw Hats. But as the Elbaph arc progresses, another prospect of an anti-hero emerges.
