Footage from ‘Welcome to Derry’ Hints at Bill Skarsgård’s Comeback as Pennywise the Clown in It Prequel Series
Fans of Stephen King’s chilling universe in ‘It’ will be thrilled to know that the horror is far from over. Max, formerly HBO Max, has officially launched a prequel series called ‘Welcome to Derry’ under the directorial vision of Andy Muschietti, alongside Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs.
The upcoming series aims to deepen the lore of Derry, the haunted town that first terrorized audiences in King’s 1986 novel and gained renewed attention with the recent films ‘It’ and ‘It: Chapter Two’.
The story will take us back to the 1960s, exploring the eerie origins of Derry’s curse and the emergence of its most infamous resident, Pennywise the Clown.
