Jojo's Bizzare Adventure by famous mangaka Hirohiko Araki tells the tale of the Joestar bloodline's fight against the evils of the world across generations. While at first, the anime was a straightforward battle Shonen involving light-based punches against the undead, it quickly turned into a tactical battle of spirits thanks to the introduction of concepts called Stands. As Araki described, Stands are the physical representation of a person's "life energy". Stands all have a unique ability, like stopping time, lighting things ablaze, or even being a literal gun.

Stands would take on more unique appearances as the series went on, but in their introduction in Part 3: Stardust Crusaders, they had a far simpler design. On the journey to Egypt, Jotaro Kujoh and his allies, the Stardust Crusaders, encounter over 35 Stands, including the six they are equipped with. Of the 35, these 10 have the strongest design and appearance.
