With Rebecca Ferguson back to lead the Silo cast as Juliette Nichols, the dystopian sci-fi story continues the mysterious tale of the remnants of humanity clinging to existence on the surface of a devastated Earth. Beginning immediately after the events of Silo season 1's ending, Silo season 2, episode 1, "The Engineer," also leaves things open-ended, but not all that unclear either.

The ending of Silo season 2, episode 1, has a surprising amount of dialogue, considering the rest of the installment's present-day sequences are carried by an impressive physical performance from Ferguson.
