Joel Kinnaman Leads the Fight for Survival in ‘The Silent Hour’

The action thriller The Silent Hour, directed by Brad Anderson, is poised to make waves with its blend of suspense, emotional depth, and groundbreaking representation of deaf characters. Starring Joel Kinnaman, Sandra Mae Frank (New Amsterdam), Mekhi Phifer (Divergent), and Mark Strong (Kingsman), the film follows Boston Detective Frank Shaw (Kinnaman) and Ava Fremont (Frank) as they fight for survival against a group of killers in a near-condemned apartment building.
After an on-the-job injury leaves Shaw with significant hearing loss, he returns to the force with a new perspective but faces an unprecedented challenge. When Ava, a deaf witness to a brutal gang murder, finds herself targeted, Shaw must protect her while contending with his own hearing impairment. Trapped in an isolated apartment block, the duo must rely on each other’s unique strengths to outsmart the relentless criminals hunting them.
At its core, The Silent Hour explores resilience and connection under extraordinary circumstances.
