Interview: Stephen Fagin, Curator of the JFK Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza in Dallas, Texas

Chicago – At 12:30pm Central Time on November 22nd, 1963, President John F. Kennedy was killed by an assassin’s bullet in Dallas, Texas. The shots were alleged to come from the sixth floor of a textbook warehouse, the Texas School Book Depository, located near a grassy area known as Dealey Plaza. The building now houses the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza, a comprehensive history dive into the seemingly endless expressions of that fateful day and weekend (November 22nd-25th). The curator of the museum is Stephen Fagin.
Since Stephen Fagin joined the staff of the Sixth Floor Museum in 2000, he has managed the institution’s ongoing “Oral History Project” and contributed to collections, exhibitions, education and programming initiatives. The author of “Assassination and Commemoration” and an American History magazine biography of Lee Harvey Oswald, Fagin holds degrees from Southern Methodist University and the University of Oklahoma.
