Naruto Fans Defend Sasuke Against ‘Edgelord’ Criticism: “His character is entirely revolving around healing the trauma”

One of the key highlights of the Naruto series is its portrayal of complexity. From pain and loneliness to grief and sorrow, it unpacked heavy emotions. It is this very complexity that makes it stand out from its contemporaries.
Kishimoto’s forte is his writing of diverse characters, especially with their persona. Their motives and ambitions outline different hues of the spectrum of characterization. This, however, is often lost in translation.

A perfect example of this is Sasuke Uchiha being labeled as an edgelord by fanatics. More often than not, his intentions are grossly overlooked amidst the criticism. Recently though, most fans took to the Internet to clap back at the unjust criticism.
Through their highlighting of this brilliant detail, they also outlined the stark difference between the manga and the anime. This also ties well with Kishimoto’s finesse, which often gets underappreciated in the process.
