Emily Rudd’s Favorite Anime is So Dark that Even Dandadan Fans Would Bow Down to It

Emily Rudd, the live-action actress for Nami in Netflix’s One Piece, is a hardcore anime fan who doesn’t stop watching and recommending them. Of all her co-stars from the live-action cast, the American actress seems the most devoted to it, even learning Japanese on the side. Rudd has claimed Made in Abyss is her favorite anime of all time while also loving the likes of One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, Sailor Moon, and so on.
What’s surprising about her choice is how dark and complex the themes of Made in Abyss are. It rivals the likes of Dandadan and The Promised Neverland. The mature themes hidden behind humor and quirky designs might fool you but some of the scenes in Made in Abyss would rattle even those obsessed with gore.
