Ella Purnell's Murder Comedy Sweetpea Renewed For Season 2
Sweetpea, the comedic thriller starring Ella Purnell, has been renewed for season 2. Described as a “coming-of-rage” story, and debuting back in October, the Sky/Starz series centers on centers on Rhiannon Lewis (Purnell). Though she leads a quiet, there is more to Rhiannon than meets the eye. The series is created by Kristie Swain, who also executive produces, and is based on the novel by Cj Skuse.
The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Sweetpea will return for season 2, as production company Sky Studios shares general story details:
“Season 2 will see Rhiannon Lewis return with a vengeance as her killer secret continues to spiral and she becomes more twisted than ever”
