Volume #19 of Chainsaw Man has just been released in Japan, and with it, new artwork and an author comment from the series' artist, Tatsuki Fujimoto. The eccentric mangaka behind Fire Punch and the universally acclaimed one-shots, Look Back and Goodbye, Eri, begins each volume of Chainsaw Man by sharing a recommendation or simply something he enjoys. And this time, it is the critically acclaimed 2024 horror film, Late Night with the Devil.

Late Night with the Devil was initially shown in 2023 at the South by Southwest film festival, before finally releasing in March 2024 to theaters. The film follows a fictional 1970s late-night talk show host named Jack Delroy, who experiences supernatural phenomena during the filming of his show, Night Owls. If there is one thing Tatsuki Fujimoto isn't shy about, it's his love for movies, and Late Night with the Devil, now available to stream on Hulu, is far from the first the author has recommended.
