Joe Satriani and Steve Vai Form New Band, Announce 2025 Tour Dates
Joe Satriani and Steve Vai have formed a new band together, the SatchVai Band, and announced a run of UK/European tour dates.
The formation of the band follows the duo’s excellent 2024 single, “The Sea of Emotion, Pt. 1.” While the guitarists are longtime friends and have shared the stage many times as pillars of the G3 shred-guitar tours, the song marked their first time collaborating on a studio track.
At the time of the song’s release, Satriani and Vai were on a co-headlining tour. Things must have went smoothly all round, as the two virtuosos decided to join forces for good and make “SatchVai” a full-on band.
