Firefly Cast Reunion Set For 20th Anniversary Of Serenity Movie
The cast of the space Western series Firefly is reuniting to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the continuation film Serenity. Joss Whedon’s cult sci-fi series followed Captain Mal Reynolds (Nathan Fillion) and his ragtag crew aboard the spaceship Serenity as they navigated life on the dark fringes of space. Despite its short-lived run, Firefly developed a supportive fanbase which brought about Whedon's 2005 feature film Serenity, taking place after the events of the series' finale.
ReedPop announced that the cast of Firefly are heading to Emerald City Comic Con (Eccc) 2025 for a commemorative event honoring Serenity's milestone anniversary. The reunion will include Nathan Fillion, Summer Glau, Jewel Staite, Gina Torres, Morena Baccarin, and Sean Maher on March 6-9 in Seattle.
