New Meet The Parents Movie Is The Perfect Opportunity To Bring The Ben Stiller & Robert De Niro Franchise Full Circle

A new Meet the Parents sequel is in development with the original cast returning — and it’s timed perfectly to go back to the franchise’s roots. It’s been 14 years since the last movie in this series, 2010’s Little Fockers, and now, a fourth Meet the Parents film is in the works. Ben Stiller, Robert De Niro, Teri Polo, and Blythe Danner are all in talks to reprise their roles from the original trilogy in the new reboot (via Deadline), and John Hamburg, the co-writer of all three previous movies, is back working on the script.

No plot details have been revealed about Meet the Parents 4, but the story that the reboot should follow seems obvious. The first movie, the endlessly quotable Meet the Parents, revolved around Stiller’s Greg Focker trying to win over his fiancée Pam’s stubborn parents.
