Heidi, Girl of the Alps Anime Celebrates 50th Anniversary with Short Gag Anime
Classic anime Heidi, Girl of the Alps celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. Based on Johanna Spyri's 1880 novel, the series has become a beloved and enduring part of the anime landscape. So, how do we celebrate such a big anniversary? With a gag anime, of course. Heidi's Granddad, Old Man of the Alps will be part of Sukima Anime 's second season of "Spin-Off Short Comedy Anime." It will be paired with Dokodemo Makibao , a parody of the 1996 anime Midori no Makibao . Heidi's granddad, Heidi, and every other role in Heidi's Granddad will be played by stand-up comedian Naoki Fujiwara. Dle produces the series, with Sorotani (a creator affiliated with Dle) writing, directing and editing.
