‘Malcolm in the Middle’ Revival Ordered with Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek
Ahead of the 25th anniversary of the fan-praised sitcom, Malcolm in the Middle is getting a revival. Disney+ will release a limited, four-episode run with cast members Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston, and Jane Kaczmarek reprising their roles as Malcolm’s parents Hal and Lois respectively, Variety reported Friday. Malcolm in the Middle creator Linwood Boomer returns as a writer on the comedy’s renewal, with Ken Kwapis directing the four-episode series.
“I have been waiting for this moment for 18 years,” Muniz said in a social media post, marking the family sitcom’s 2006 finale.
