Taika Waititi’s Star Wars Film Stuck in “Indefinite Hold”, Reports Say
Taika Waititi is well-known for his creative style and humor. He gained major attention after directing Thor: Ragnarok in 2017, which gave Thor a fresh and fun new personality in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Waititi also won an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay for his heartfelt and funny movie Jojo Rabbit. After his success in the MCU and his work on The Mandalorian—where he directed an episode and voiced the droid Ig-11—Waititi was announced as the director for a new Star Wars movie. However, little has been revealed about the project, and its progress has remained a mystery.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, who shared the news on his Patreon, Waititi’s Star Wars film is now on indefinite hold. This means there’s no clear timeline for when, or if, the movie will move forward.
