Max To Remove 4 Fan-Favorite DC Animated Shows at the End of 2024
Max, the streaming home of countless DC shows and movies, is facing some unexpected changes as four fan-favorite DC animated series are set to leave its library by the start of 2025. Over the years, Max has been the go-to place for DC fans, but recently, WB has been removing a lot of its content.
Warner Bros. Discovery has yet to confirm the removal, but a fellow Redditor reports that Teen Titans, Teen Titans Go!, Static Shock, and Green Lantern: The Animated Series will no longer be available after December 31.
Static Shock, which debuted in 2000 on the now-defunct KidsWB, introduced viewers to Virgil Hawkins, a teenager who gains electromagnetic powers after a freak accident. The series quickly became a fan favorite due to its mix of humor, action, and social themes.
Despite a few rumors of a live-action adaptation dating a few months back, there hasn’t been any new progress for the project.
