Colleen Hoover Adaptation ‘Reminders of You’ Sets Vanessa Caswill as Director
Universal Pictures has tapped Vanessa Caswill to direct “Reminders of Him,” an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s romance novel.
Caswill’s major credits include Netflix’s 2023 romantic comedy “Love at First Sight,” starring Haley Lu Richardson, as well as two miniseries for the BBC: 2017’s “Little Women,” featuring Maya Hawke, Emily Watson, Michael Gambon and Angela Lansbury, and 2016’s “Thirteen,” led by Jodie Comer.
“Reminders of Him” follows a mother named Kenna Rowan, who returns to her hometown after serving five years in prison for a tragic mistake. She hopes to reconnect with her young daughter, though everyone is intent on keeping them apart. Only one person in the area hasn’t shunned her, and that’s the local bar owner Ledger Ward, who becomes an important part of Kenna’s life. The novel, published in 2022, has sold over 6.5 million copies globally and has been translated into 45 languages.
