Benedict Cumberbatch Hosts Tribute To BBC’s Original British Drama: Hot Trailer
Earlier this month, BBC One mysteriously tweeted that Benedict Cumberbatch was “filming something special” for the broadcaster. The network’s Sherlock star has now been revealed as the voice of a new trailer showcasing the best of BBC Drama — past, present and future. Perhaps not quite as exciting as the news that he’s Marvel’s choice to play Doctor Strange, but nevertheless a bit of catnip for “Cumberbitches” the world over, and a savvy marketing ploy. The BBC launched the trailer above just now for its new season. It did so on broadcast just ahead of its new limited series The Missing.
