‘Dune: Prophecy’ Renewed for Season 2 at HBO
HBO will continue following the Sisterhood of Dune: Prophecy.
The series will return for a second season, showrunner Alison Schapker announced at a press conference Thursday. The renewal comes a few days ahead of the show’s first-season finale, which debuts Dec. 22 on HBO and Max.
According to HBO, the premiere episode of Dune: Prophecy has racked up 15 million viewers worldwide on Max since its Nov. 17 debut.
“We’re so thrilled and grateful for their support, for our partners at Legendary, and most of all that we get to keep working with these incredible people in front of and behind the camera and get to keep telling this story,” Schapker said.
Added Sarah Aubrey, head of Max original programming, “Dune: Prophecy has captivated audiences around the globe thanks to the visionary leadership of showrunner and executive producer Alison Schapker, who will continue to guide this grand tale of truth and power.
