Ex-rhoa Star Peter Thomas Pleads Guilty To Tax Fraud, Is Sentenced
Former Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Peter Thomas was sentenced on Thursday, December 19, after pleading guilty to tax fraud charges.
Peter, 64, is the ex-husband of Cynthia Bailey, who left Rhoa in 2021.
It's been a legally dicey week for reality TV personalities in the Real Housewives franchise in particular, as Real Housewives Of Potomac star Karen Huger was convicted on charges related to her March DUI arrest.
On December 10, The Baltimore Banner covered Peter's guilty plea, which he officially entered during the summer.
According to the outlet, Peter's tax fraud charges stemmed from his management of the restaurants he owns, and more specifically, the government's assertion that he neglected to properly disburse taxes withheld from employees' paychecks.
It quoted a sentencing memo from federal prosecutors with respect to Peter's case, in which they argued he ought to serve no fewer than two years in prison for the violations:
