‘A Simple Favor’ Director Paul Feig, Robyn Lively Join Chorus of Voices Speaking Up for Blake Lively: ‘She Truly Did Not Deserve Any of This Smear Campaign’
Director Paul Feig has joined the chorus of voices speaking up for “It Ends With Us” star Blake Lively following her sexual harassment complaint against co-star Justin Baldoni.
Feig, who directed Lively in “A Simple Favor” and more recently its sequel “A Simple Favor 2,” heaped praise on the actor and said she “truly did not deserve” the alleged smear campaign that Lively claims was orchestrated by Baldoni.
“I’ve now made two movies with Blake and all I can say is she’s one of the most professional, creative, collaborative, talented and kind people I’ve ever worked with,” Feig posted on X, linking to a New York Times article about Lively’s complaint. “She truly did not deserve any of this smear campaign against her. I think it’s awful she was put through this.”
“A Simple Favor 2” is set to be released next year.
