Deadpool & Wolverine gave us a small glimpse of Henry Cavill as Wolverine, but I would love to see him back as the iconic Marvel character in Avengers: Secret Wars, whether Hugh Jackman returns or not. Avengers: Secret Wars will be released on May 7, 2027, and will be the final film of Marvel Studios' Multiverse Saga, which began in 2021 with the WandaVision television series. If the film follows a similar narrative to the story it is adapting, a number of characters across Marvel's cinematic history could be making a return.

Dreams were finally realized when Henry Cavill appeared as a variant of Wolverine in Deadpool & Wolverine after years of rumors that he would be joining the MCU as the character. Despite his small amount of screen time, Cavill stood out among a plethora of other Deadpool & Wolverine cameos, showing that the casting could work, and he should get another opportunity to play the character.
