The moniker of anti-hero is something of a rarity in Marvel culture, at least compared to its DC Comics counterpart. DC is riddled with heroes who carry a morally gray attitude, but Marvel is home to more traditional superheroes. It doesn't mean that one company's approach carries less or more weight than the other, but it is a noticeable difference.

While Marvel isn't without its layered storytelling and complex characters, they do carry traits that are more black and white, more often than not. The superheroes can usually be distinguished from the supervillains just as easily as a white-hat cowboy from a black-hatted outlaw.
