The new anime adaptation of Ranma 1/2 definitely made a splash in the fall 2024 anime season, as did the announcement that there will be a second season! To celebrate the show's continuation, Mappa's YouTube channel has released a new music video that brings together the past and present of Rumiko Takahashi's beloved rom-com. Featuring footage from the 2024 series, the video has been set to the 1990 character song "Chaina kara no Tegami" ("Letters from China"). The song was performed by Kappei Yamaguchi and Megumi Hayashibara as Ranma, both of whom reprised their roles in the new series. As Ranma attempts to sing the heartfelt song, Ryoga splashes him with hot and cold water.
