Yabako Sandrovich, Author of ‘Kengan Ashura,’ Will Launch a New Series
On December 27, the official YouTube channel for Shogakukan’s Manga One app shared a video featuring Yabako Sandrovich, the creator of Kengan Ashura and other popular works. While most of the video focused on judging entries for the app’s ‘Battle Comic Award,’ something exciting caught our attention.
At 4:19 in the video (see below), a segment revealed that Sandrovich is preparing a new manga series—his fifth with an original story. He and editor Shō Kobayashi were even shown testing out a mixed martial arts move during their discussion.
The video highlighted Sandrovich’s background in karate, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and Mma. Kobayashi also has a strong martial arts history, having placed third in a national full-contact karate competition during high school.
