‘Jeopardy!’ Introduces New Change In Second Chance Tournament
A Jeopardy! contestant might not win the game, but that’s not always the end of their story on the show. The Second Chance Tournament, started in 2022, allows players to get another chance to make their dreams of winning a reality. However, the show recently announced a change to the second chance games that might have a lasting impact.
A Big Change Is Happening To Jeopardy! & The Second Chance Tournament
The Second Chance Tournament allows contestant with high scores who didn’t win the game to get a second chance. Over the years, the amount of episodes and contestants involved in the tournament hasn’t always been consistent.
Originally, this tournament involved eighteen contestants and lasted around 10 episodes. The second tournament last 15 episodes and featured 27 participants. A third tournament, seen at the end of December 2023, lasted 20 episodes with 36 participants.
