
Darkside Announce New Album Nothing, Release New Single “S.N.C”: Watch

Darkside, the trio of Nicolás Jaar, Dave Harrington, and Tlacael Esparza, have returned with the announcement of a new album, Nothing, and the release of its latest single, “S.N.C.”
Due on February 28th via Matador Records, Nothing will be the band’s first full-length effort since 2021’s Spiral, and also marks their first release since becoming a trio, thanks to the addition of drummer Esparza.

Unlike previous albums — which were written based on pre-developed ideas and song fragments — Nothing sees the band on a new creative plane, forging the music out of loose jam sessions.
The previously-released track, “Graucha Max,” and the new single, “S.N.C,” reflect that, pairing the band’s signature knack for audio design with kaleidoscopic arrangements, as colors and textures bounce in and out of orbit over a driving beat. “S.N.C” hits an especially groovy peak around midway through its six-minute runtime, as clavs,...
