Rory McCann Joins ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2, Stepping in for the Late Ray Stevenson
A year ago, Lucasfilm confirmed that ‘Ahsoka’ Season 2 is in development. Filoni, who wrote ‘Ahsoka’ season 1, discussed the show’s future and the challenges posed by the passing of Ray Stevenson, who was intended to be a significant part of the story.
As a reminder, Stevenson’s Baylan Skoll never revealed his true plans in the final episode of the first season; instead, he can be seen gazing upon the statues of Mortis Gods on Peridea, an act seemingly foreshadowing what his plans might be. Stevenson passed away on May 21, 2023, just four days prior to his 59th birthday. The cause of his death remains undisclosed, but it’s noted that he was hospitalized during the filming of ‘Cassino in Ischia’ on the Italian island of Ischia.
