Comedians Tim Key and Tom Basden write and star in musical comedy The Ballad Of Wallis Island, here’s the trailer.

Comedian Tom Basden has had some success in feature films over the last few years, writing the scripts for Amazon Prime Video’s successful festive features Your Christmas Or Mine? and its sequel, as well as co-writing sitcom Plebs.

Tim Key, meanwhile, comes up with many of the tasks on Taskmaster, as well as acting in shows like Inside No 9 and alongside Steve Coogan in many Alan Partridge projects as Sidekick Simon. They began working together onstage in the sketch group Cowards, which also included Sefan Golazewski, who went on to write the award winning Him and Her and Mum.

Key and Basden have joined forces to write and star in musical comedy film The Ballad Of Wallis Island, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last month.
