‘Warhammer’ Owners Want to Take Down Jon Del Arroz’s ‘The Emerald Array’
Games Workshop is going after Jon Del Arroz, claiming his comic The Emerald Array infringes on their trademark. Del Arroz, who co-founded Fandom Pulse, shared an email from Games Workshop demanding the removal of his comic from the crowdfunding site FundMyComic.
Del Arroz posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying, ‘Games Workshop is demanding FundMyComic take down my Space Marine book, The Emerald Array. Space Marine is a genre on Amazon, and they didn’t even create it—it was coined by author Bob Olsen in a 1932 short story.’ He called this move ‘anti-competitive harassment.’
