I think episode 6 of When The Stars Gossip has some of the most thrilling bits of the show, you know, in terms of sci-fi thrills. It’s definitely a slow-burn drama, and I think the target demographic is very specific. I’m not going to lie, that one speech by Ryong almost came across as very pro-life, though I understand why. I think the show is also a fantastic reflection of the Korean climate today. We’ve all been seeing how women aren’t getting married, how they don’t want kids and would rather focus on their careers. It almost feels like the show is trying to push a certain narrative; whether it be a satirical take or a straightforward message is up to you to decide. Anyway, with that strange piece of food for thought, let’s jump straight into episode 6.
