X-Men's Phoenix Debuts the Ultimate Thanos-Beating Team: Complete Roster & Powers Explained

In her space adventure series, the Phoenix has just brought together some Marvel Comics heavy-hotters to form an all-new superhero team to go up against Thanos. Drafting an eclectic mix of cosmic characters, Jean Grey flexes her friendships and alliances apart from the X-Men by assembling a powerful lineup, which she’ll need to defeat the Mad Titan and his ancient weapon with abilities that even the Phoenix can’t beat alone.
In the preview for Phoenix #7– written by Stephanie Phillips, with art by Marco Renna – Jean and her new team discuss Thanos’ plan to use the Warlock's Eye to achieve universal domination. Though Phoenix could take on Thanos solo, the special mind-controlling weapon with origins pre-dating Asgard itself means she needs some assistance.
