Christopher Walken regrets being part of Saturday Night Live's "More Cowbell" sketch, which aired on April 5, 2000. As the episode's guest host, he performed that sketch with Jimmy Fallon and Will Ferrell. Per the New York Post, the latter recalled meeting Walken years after that sketch aired, and the actor said "More Cowbell" has become the bane of his career. Walken had just finished a theater performance then. "I went to see him backstage, and he's like, 'You know, you've ruined my life. Every show, people bring cowbells for the curtain call and bang them. It's quite disconcerting,'" Ferrell said.
