Here’s some exciting movie news! Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated film, Sitaare Zameen Par, is finishing up its final schedules and will, according to Aamir Khan, hit the big screen in December. Directed by Rs Prasanna, the film, which also stars Genelia D’Souza, is based on the Spanish movie Campeones (2018) and will follow the journey of a championship team of basketball players with intellectual disabilities and their unwilling coach.
Aamir says the film showcases a different perspective than the 2007 drama Taare Zameen Par, which he directed and starred in. That film focused on young Ishaan and his struggles in school with dyslexia. “Sitaare Zameen Par is a sequel to Taare Zameen Par, a film that I directed some years ago. However, it is not a sequel in the sense that the characters do not continue from the previous one. So, it is a fresh set of characters with completely fresh situations and plot.
