Sakamoto Days is Almost Like This Cozy Yakuza Anime
The debut of the Netflix anime, Sakamoto Days, with the Winter 2025 anime season has taken the fandom by storm. Following the life of retired hitman, Taro Sakamoto, the former killer-for-hire trades his violent life in the criminal underworld for domestic bliss in mainstream Japanese society. Sakamoto becomes a devoted and doting husband and father, working a mundane job in a convenience store to support his family. If that sounds a little familiar, that's because Sakamoto isn't the only retired criminal who goes legit for love and family.
