George R.R. Martin’s Tall Promise About Last 2 Game of Thrones Books Makes Winds of Winter Delay More Upsetting

George R.R. Martin keeps on delaying his sixth novel in A Song of Ice and Fire series, The Winds of Winter. He started working on the book before 2010 but hasn’t been able to complete it even after more than a decade. In a 2012 interview, he shared that he had already written 400 pages and that he would publish it in 2014.

The Winds of Winter is the second last book in the series. Martin has also announced his planned final book, A Dream of Spring. In the old interview, he shared that his ending wasn’t supposed to please everyone. He shared it would definitely gain the love of his hardcore fans. However, after the disastrous climax of Game of Thrones, Martin appears to have lost confidence.
