However, not many will know, that she was once considered for the role of Éowyn in Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Following her breakout success in Titanic (1997), Winslet was at the peak of her career, and her name came up when Jackson was casting for the epic fantasy saga. However, despite her past collaboration with the director, she ultimately turned down the opportunity.
