'I Like to Believe He'd Be Proud of Me': Ralph Macchio Remembers Pat Morita 41 Years After The Karate Kid

Karate Kidactor Ralph Macchio says he feels like he has a “responsibility” to keep up the legacy of the franchise. In a new interview with GamesRadar+, Macchio talked about playing the role of Daniel Larusso throughout the years as well as the new Karate Kid: Legends film and the final season of Cobra Kai.
Cobra Kai returns to Netflix on Feb. 13 with the final five episodes of the series’ sixth and final season. The show, set about 40 years after the 1984 original Karate Kidfilm, features Macchio reprising his role as Daniel as well as William Zabka’s Johnny Lawrence and sees the pair running two competing karate dojos.
