Doge Staffer Marko Elez Resigns After Being Linked To A Racist Social Media Account, Elon Musk Vows To Rehire Him

Marko Elez, a former staff member of the Department of Government Efficiency (Doge), resigned from the organization after he was connected to a racist social media account.
Elez, who once worked at X and SpaceX, had been working inside the Treasury Department to cut costs and root out fraud as part of Elon Musk‘s Doge effort.
He was one of the two temporary special government appointees at the Treasury connected to Doge, who were given access to a highly sensitive Treasury system that processes trillions of dollars in payments each year.
His access to the Treasury payment system raised alarms over whether or not sensitive data, such as the banking information of millions of Americans, is being shared with Musk and his allies.
