When Haliey Welch’s parents hear about her alleged crypto pump-and-dump, she is going to be so grounded.

After accidentally skyrocketing to internet superstardom off of a sexual soundbite in a viral video, Welch, arguably better known as “The Hawk Tuah Girl,” released the $Hawk cryptocurrency meme coin in December 2024, which ballooned to a confounding $500 million market cap before immediately plummeting in value. Just as fast, the incredibly gullible investors who poured their millions into the pockets of Welch and her partners shortly before $Hawk team Walked Tuah bank and cashed out from the rickety venture filed a complaint with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, causing Welch to abandon her burgeoning podcasting career and recede from the public eye for multiple months.

Then, this past Thursday, Welch returned the Talk Tuah studios to break her silence on the allegations that she ran the most obvious exit scam in the history of grifting.
