“Men shouldn’t have friends”, declares the tagline on A24’s newest comedy flick. A little harsh, maybe; but one broken plate glass window and a lot of screaming later, Friendship's trailer certainly puts forward a compelling argument.

If you’re familiar with Robinson’s work on I Think You Should Leave – his three-season Netflix sketch show in which people find endlessly inventive ways to get themselves removed from social situations – you might know what to expect from Friendship. Robinson plays Craig, a lonely man invited to his new neighbour’s house for a beer and a song. Friendship blossoms until, after “a couple of really nice hangs”, Austin (Paul Rudd) decides they should go their separate ways.
