‘Dragon Ball Super’ Manga Is Back with a Special One-Shot in Late February
The Dragon Ball Super manga is making a brief return with a special one-shot, set to drop in the super-sized April issue of V Jump on February 20. This chapter will shine a spotlight on Trunks and his drive to fight for justice as part of the Saiyaman X team. On Monday, the official Dragon Ball YouTube channel shared a rough sketch from the upcoming story, appearing in the video at around 5:23.
This news comes after the manga went on an indefinite hiatus in April 2024. The break followed the tragic passing of Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama in March 2024. He was 68 years old and died from acute subdural hematoma.
Before the hiatus, the manga had already taken a break in August 2022 but returned in December of that year. It later launched the Super Hero arc in March 2023, adapting the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero film.
