Julia Roberts Thriller ‘After the Hunt’ From Luca Guadagnino Lands Awards Season Release
After the Hunt has tracked down a prime awards season slot from Amazon MGM Studios.
Director Luca Guadagnino’s thriller feature is set to launch in limited theatrical release on Oct. 10, with the film expanding its theater count the following week. Julia Roberts leads a cast that includes Ayo Edebiri, Andrew Garfield, Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny.
Also set for nationwide release on Oct. 17, when After the Hunt is scheduled to go wide, are Universal’s horror sequel The Black Phone 2 and Lionsgate’s Aziz Ansari-directed comedy Good Fortune that stars Keanu Reeves, Seth Rogen and Keke Palmer.
Hailing from Imagine Entertainment, After the Hunt focuses on a college professor (Roberts) who is forced to confront her own dark past when a prominent student (Edebiri) makes an accusation against one of her colleagues (Garfield).
