Ryokuoushoku Shakai's The Apothecary Diaries Anime 1st Opening Song Surpasses 200 Million Streams
The official X (formerly Twitter) for the four-piece Japanese pop rock band Ryokuoushoku Shakai announced on February 17 that their eighth single song "Hana ni Natte" ("Be a flower") had surpassed a milestone of 200 million streams. "Hana ni Natte" was newly recorded by the band as the first opening theme for the TV anime The Apothecary Diaries . Under the theme of "Flower blooming in the shade," the lyrics were written by vocalist/guitarist Haruko Nagaya and the music was composed by bassist Shingo Anami . The song released digitally first on October 29, 2023, then the CD single followed from Sony Music Labels' Epic Records Japan on December 6, peaking at #8 on Oricon's weekly single charts .
