There’s plenty going on in the trailer for Paul Ws Anderson’s latest film. The director – behind Event Horizon and many video game adaptations, from Resident Evil to Monster Hunter – is back with his first outing in five years, In The Lost Lands. It does, of course, star his regular lead (and wife) Milla Jovovich, this time alongside Dave Bautista. And it’s based on a George Rr Martin short story, combining fantasy and sci-fi and horror elements. But more than anything, it looks like a total genre mash-up, with plenty of influences in the mix.
