‘Solo Leveling’s’ Jeju Island Arc Made Ants a Bigger Threat than They Should Be despite an Easy Solution
Solo Leveling has recieved a lot of fame and recognition for its Jeju Island Arc. Solo Leveling anime portrayed the Ant King and his army as an almost unstoppable force, but when you think about it and break the narrative down, the threat level of the ants might have been exaggerated from the very beginning.

One glaring issue is that the ants couldn’t fly. Especially before Beru appeared, the ants were stuck on the island, unable to swim or fly, meaning humanity could have used their aerial superiority to wipe them out.
This includes not just ranged weaponry like mounted guns; even the long-range mages could have bombarded the islands to wipe out most of the ants, catching them unaware. The idea that the world’s best hunters did not think of this feels like an oversight.
