Jon Bernthal’s Punisher to Lead His Own 2026 Disney+ Special Presentation
Jon Bernthal will return as The Punisher in “Daredevil: Born Again,” and you won’t have to wait too long to see him again after that. Following his return in the Disney+ show, the actor will star in his own special presentation.
Marvel Television indeed has a Punisher special is in the works, with Bernthal not only starring, but also co-writing alongside Reinaldo Marcus Green, TheWrap has learned. Green is also set to direct. The special presentation will air in 2026, alongside Season 2 of “Daredevil: Born Again.”
The Punisher’s standalone outing will mark Marvel’s third “special presentation,” after kicking off the trend with the “Guardians of the Galaxy” holiday special and “Werewolf by Night” back in 2022.
“It’s like a shotgun blast of a story, but also has all the pathos and emotion that you want out of a Frank Castle story,” Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television, told EW.
