Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s Wells Street Films Signs First-Look Deal With ‘Fleabag’ Stage Show Producer
Francesca Moody Productions (Fmp), producer of stage productions Fleabag and Baby Reindeer (which premiered to global success as TV shows), has signed a two-year, first-look deal with Phoebe Waller-Bridge‘s Wells Street Films.
The deal will give Wells Street Films the first opportunity to develop Fmp’s productions for television. Wells Street Films is currently under a first-look deal with Amazon MGM Studios.
Waller-Bridge and Moody first collaborated on the stage production of Fleabag, directed by Vicky Jones, which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2013 before its popular outing in the award-winning Prime Video/BBC show. Moody was also behind the production of Richard Gadd’s Baby Reindeer before it smashed Netflix viewership numbers upon its April debut last year.
